Call for Abstract and Submission Guidelines

CALL FOR ABSTRACT

We are pleased to announce a call for abstracts for our upcoming conference on “Leadership for global health: Advancing nursing and health care systems.” We invite nurse researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to submit abstracts and present their work in the concurrent and poster session. Submissions are welcome in all areas related to nursing and health sciences, with a special emphasis on the following themes.

Abstract Themes

Theme 1. Innovation in Nursing Education and Workforce Development

Subthemes:

• Curriculum innovation and competency-based education
• Simulation, skills training, and experiential learning
• Faculty development, mentorship, and academic leadership
• Workforce sustainability, retention, and well-being
• Interprofessional education and collaborative training models
• Lifelong learning and continuing professional development

Synopsis:

This theme addresses innovative educational and workforce strategies that enhance nursing competence, leadership, and career sustainability, including curriculum reform, simulation, faculty development, and workforce well-being.

Theme 2. Clinical Practice, Health Promotion, and Disease Management

Subthemes:

• Evidence-based practice and knowledge translation
• Patient safety, quality improvement, and risk management
• Person- and family-centered care models
• Chronic disease management and complex care
• Symptom management and palliative care
• Primary prevention, screening, and early detection
• Chronic disease self-management and empowerment
• Mental health promotion and psychosocial well-being
• Community- and population-based disease management

Synopsis:

This theme encompasses nursing-led clinical, preventive, and disease management interventions that improve care quality, patient outcomes, and population health across the life course.

Theme 3. Emerging Technologies, Digital Health, and Informatics

Subthemes:

• Artificial intelligence and clinical decision support
• Telehealth, mobile health, and remote care models
• Health informatics, data analytics, and big data
• Technology-enhanced learning and digital pedagogy
• Ethical, legal, and privacy considerations
• Implementation and evaluation of digital innovations

Synopsis:

This theme highlights the use of digital technologies and data-driven approaches to advance nursing practice, education, and health system performance, while addressing ethical and implementation challenges.

Theme 4. Global and Community Health Equity

Subthemes:

• Social determinants of health and structural inequities
• Community-based and participatory interventions
• Global health partnerships and cross-cultural collaboration
• Vulnerable and marginalized populations
• Ethics, human rights, and social justice
• Health policy, systems strengthening, and advocacy

Synopsis:

This theme emphasizes nursing research and practice that promote health equity through community engagement, global collaboration, and policy-informed approaches to reduce disparities.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

• Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online submission system available on the conference website by March 15, 2026.
• Authors are responsible for reviewing and correcting their abstracts prior to submission.
• All submissions and presentations must be written in grammatically correct English.
• Submitters are required to register on the conference website before submitting an abstract.
• Abstracts must follow the specified format. Authors must specify whether the abstract is submitted for oral or poster presentation; the final decision will be made by the Abstract Review Committee.

Abstract Must Include:

Title

• Must be concise.
• Capitalize the first letter of the first word and all principal words, except prepositions, conjunctions, and articles.
• Do not use acronyms, abbreviations, or initials in the title.

Author(s)

• Ensure that all authors’ names are accurately provided.
• Provide each author’s full contact information, including address, e-mail, phone/fax number, academic degree, and current position.

Abstract

• Must be written in English and must not exceed 350 words (excluding the title and keywords).
• Must be typed in Times New Roman font, single-spaced, and must strictly adhere to the provided template.
• The abstract should clearly state the purpose(s) of the research, methods, main findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Include three (3) keywords, listed in alphabetical order.
